The Gilt Prism

№ 0071894003

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the North Clay stack.

Edition 71,894,003 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly rectangles, mostly brass. It sits in block 96,198, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Ink has browned at the edge. Registrar Moreau set it down in a wax rubbing, and the sheet shows a stamp riding off the edge.

It is folio 3 of Birch 10, in the Long Walk, North Clay stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
