The Dry Plate

№ 0707702000

Common

Abandoned timetables — kept in the Outer Ink stack.

Edition 707,702,000 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly squares, mostly teal. It sits in block 100,861, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Ink has browned at the edge. Surveyor Costa set it down in a silver print, and the sheet shows a crease through the third line.

It is folio 1000 of Elm 1, in the Thin Range, Outer Ink stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
