№ 0489795996

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the Upper Linen stack.

Edition 489,795,996 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly rectangles, mostly sage. It sits in block 65,520, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

A later hand corrected the title. Surveyor Khan set it down in a silver print, and the sheet shows a hairline tear at the foot.

It is folio 996 of Maple 10, in the Last Range, Upper Linen stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
