The Rigid Diary

№ 0000000428

Common

Abandoned timetables — kept in the North Ink stack.

Edition 428 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly rectangles, mostly tangerine. It sits in block 28,493, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Someone numbered it in pencil. Night archivist Walsh set it down in a wax rubbing, and the sheet shows tape along the fold.

It is folio 428 of Cedar 1, in the Quiet Gallery, North Ink stack. The count was revised downward.
