The Thin Diary

№ 0039701424

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the North Salt stack.

Edition 39,701,424 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly rectangles, mostly rust. It sits in block 197,590, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Ink has browned at the edge. Registrar Ellis set it down in a wax rubbing, and the sheet shows tape along the fold.

It is folio 424 of Elm 1, in the Last Range, North Salt stack. The place-name on the slip no longer exists.
