The Late Sketch

№ 0039007395

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the North Salt stack.

Edition 39,007,395 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly lines, mostly saffron. It sits in block 141,423, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Someone numbered it in pencil. Binder Novak set it down in iron-gall ink, and the sheet shows fibers lifted where a label was peeled.

It is folio 395 of Rowan 1, in the Last Gallery, North Salt stack. The keeper signed it twice.
