The Late Seal

№ 0382002002

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the West Linen stack.

Edition 382,002,002 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly rectangles, mostly sage. It sits in block 55,779, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Filed without a date. Surveyor Costa set it down in a punched card, and the sheet shows a stamp riding off the edge.

It is folio 2 of Yew 1, in the Red Gallery, West Linen stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
