The Minor Diary

№ 0283661278

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the East Linen stack.

Edition 283,661,278 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly squares, mostly sage. It sits in block 133,962, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

Ink has browned at the edge. Binder Sato set it down in a punched card, and the sheet shows a crease through the third line.

It is folio 278 of Elm 7, in the Low Vault, East Linen stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
