Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the South Salt stack.

Edition 138,703,003 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly triangles, mostly sage. It sits in block 10,773, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

The original was copied twice. Proofreader Okonkwo set it down in iron-gall ink, and the sheet shows fibers lifted where a label was peeled.

It is folio 3 of Pine 1, in the Wide Range, South Salt stack. The instrument was recalibrated the next morning.
