The Heavy Letter

№ 0011615397

Common

Winter bird counts — kept in the North Paper stack.

Edition 11,615,397 of 1,000,000,000. 100 shapes, mostly pentagons, mostly rust. It sits in block 50,794, minted with that block's other 4,999 editions, scattered across the billion.

A later hand corrected the title. Keeper Ellis set it down in a punched card, and the sheet shows fibers lifted where a label was peeled.

It is folio 397 of Maple 2, in the Long Vault, North Paper stack. The place-name on the slip no longer exists.
